SASKATCHEWAN MINING SUPPLY CHAIN FORUM

Saskatchewan Mining Association and Enterprise Saskatchewan presented Saskatchewan Mining Supply Chain Forum which was held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at TCU Place in Saskatoon.

 

The forum provided information on how manufacturers can access mining supply opportunities. 

Forum topics included:

• Overview of projects by Saskatchewan mining companies
• Information on opportunities to supply equipment and services to the mining industry and the process to become a supplier to the mining industry
• Information from existing manufacturing companies on their experiences in becoming suppliers to the mining industry

Speakers included: PotashCorp, Cameco Corporation, Sherritt Coal, AREVA, Mosaic Potash, Claude Resources, Points Athabasca Contracting, Industrial Machine & Mfg, Goodman Industrial and Prairie Machine

Luncheon speaker:  Dr. Dan Shunk, Arizona State University speaking on "Lean Supply Chains - a Competitive Edge"
