Train the Trainer First Aid

Re: Train the Trainer Program for Saskatchewan Mines

St. John Ambulance will be offering the Train the Trainer Program again this year.  The objective of the Train the Trainer program is to better prepare those that are tasked with training a team for the SMA competition or participating as a team member.


Pre-requisite for Train the Trainer

·         Minimum of a OHS A certification

·         Physically fit

 

Agenda for Train the Trainer

·         Review of changes for 2012

·         Judges Marking Sheets

·         Patient Assessments

·         Recertification in oxygen administration

·         Certification/recertification in Automated External Defibrillation

·         Spinal Immobilization

·         Triage

·         How to set up training scenarios

·         Evaluating a team


Proposed training date:

April 17, 2012 at the Queensbury Downs, Salon 1, located Evraz Place in Regina.  The course will run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Lunch will be provided.  Participants can register by email to Bmitchell@sk.sja.ca  the cost of the course is $175.00 per person.

Registrations for the Train the Trainer course will be accepted until April 9, 2012 to allow for course loading.
