Mine Rescue Training
Fire Training
Location: PCS Patience Lake Mine Site
Date: April 26 & 27, 2012
Cost: $550.00 per person, includes training materials & lunch
This course is designed to provide the information to the mine rescue member to take back & conduct fire training on site. All aspects of mine rescue fire training will be covered (Day 1 – 5 most common types of fires will be fought) as well as what judges are looking for from the team the day of the competition.
Participants must bring:
Proper safety apparel (hard hat, gloves, glasses, coveralls, boots)
1 – 20 lb cartridge operated extinguisher per student
Tools & equipment to recharge & maintain extinguishers
Note: There will be no fire fighting training at any mine site by fire fighting judges until after May 28, 2012
A minimum number of participants will be required for this program to run. 1 participant per mine – if there is room more than 1 per mine may be sent.
If there are not sufficient registrations by April 10, 2012 the course will be cancelled
